Tanya is a yoga teacher, gong practitioner and counsellor who works with Paiste Gong Chiron to create a meditative experience where participants are “bathed” in sound waves. The intention is to help balance the energy of the participants, create deep relaxation as participants learn to let go, and an increased sense of well-being, expanded awareness and possible access to visionary experiences.
Lindsey is a craniosacral therapist and yoga teacher who specialises in supporting people who deal with symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress, burnout and fatigue. She uses craniosacral therapy, aromatherapy, flower remedies, and yoga and meditation; helping people to re-find themselves and their health, regain their energy and wellness, and learn how to understand and manage their own nervous system.

THE EXPERIENCE
Before the gong bath there will be 45-minute guided mix of gentle Hatha, Yin, Somatic Yoga and Yoga Nidra, to settle the nervous system, and support the craniosacral system. During the Gong, there will be the option for participants to receive Craniosacral touch. (Cranial work involves a very light intuitive touch that listens to the innate wisdom in the body and supports our natural healing capacity). All people and bodies will be able to participate in the yoga; equally you are welcome to simply ‘be’ in the space, if - on the day - you don’t feel like any movement.

Sound baths are suitable for everyone at any stage of their lives. Participants lie on the floor under the comfort of their own blanket and pillow. The wash of sounds from the Gong induces a deep meditative experience which teaches you to let go; there is nothing to do but be open to the experience. For anyone who wants to begin a meditation practice, this is a great place to start, especially if you overthink or have excessive thoughts that make it difficult to meditate in a more traditional way.
THE BENEFITS
Possible benefits from sound baths include:
• a more relaxed body and mind
• reduced stress and anxiety
• improved sleep
• the clearing of negative energy / emotions
• increased creativity, intuition and motivation
• the release of self-limiting behaviours that no longer serve you

There is also the possibility of physical healing as frequency and vibrations can adjust the physical cells of the body to encourage healing. Similar to the way in which western medicine makes use of vibration and sound waves, such as shock wave lithotripsy for breaking down kidney stones.
